Choose Between Two Options
$40 for a three-hour small-group sailing lesson for one person (an $80 value)
$299 for a three-hour corporate sailing lesson for up to 10 people (up to a $650 value)
Both lessons begin with a 30- to 45-minute introductory briefing, followed by a rigging lesson, basic sailing demonstrations, and a prolonged period of sailing in the English Bay. The corporate-lesson option includes team-building exercises and a friendly race to conclude the session. MacSailing provides wetsuits and lifejackets, but students are advised to bring their own towel, a change of clothes, and a hat.
Billowing sails propel vessels in and out of the English Bay, where MacSailing strengthens sea legs with an expert-crafted sailing curriculum for everyone from novice seafarers to competitive racers. Founded in 1998 by Canadian sailor Ross Macdonald—who medaled in both the 1992 and 2004 Olympics—MacSailing teaches pupils to captain a wide variety of vessels in lessons for youths and adults, and also rents out sailboats for more experienced wave-tamers. Each of MacSailing’s instructors is certified by the Canadian Yachting Association, which is the best illustration of nautical mastery short of wearing a souvenir T-shirt from the Bermuda Triangle.
